To grow properly, a plant needs adequate nutrition as part of its support system. While soil already contains nutrients, its composition differs depending on its formation process and the climate in the region. If a pepper plant does not meet its nutritional needs it can cause a decrease in the amount of pepper yielded during a harvest.
Some regions still have low pepper yields and this can be the result of several factors, such as cultivation soil quality, seed quality, pest attacks, uneffective cultivation technologies, and fertilization processes. The fertilization process is an important strategy to increase pepper plant productivity and soil quality, therefore, it’s essential to consider the type of fertilizer based on the soil and plant needs in order to maximize pepper growth quality.
Apart from recommending choosing fertilizer based on the pepper field location, applying the correct amount of fertilizer is another important step in the fertilization process. In this webinar, SpiceUp will talk about pepper plant fertilization based on plant and soil data with an expert from Institut Pertanian Bogor. By providing useful information about the fertilization process, the aim is to help farmers increase their pepper growth, efficiency, quality, and hygiene.
The participants will learn about :
- The pepper fertilization process based on soil and plant data.
- The advantages of knowing of soil and plant data.
Dr Ir. Arief Hartono., M.Sc., an expert of Chemistry and Soil Fertility from Institut Pertanian Bogor is the main speaker on this webinar.
