About SpiceUp Indonesia
SpiceUp is one of the projects under the Geodata for Agriculture and Water (G4AW) programme that aims to provide geodata based information services to support 100,000 pepper farmers in three main producing areas in Indonesia (Lampung, Bangka Belitung, and Kalimantan). The goal is to increase production and income. The services for farmers, collectors and businesses will be provided via a mobile application. Job Summary
The role of the Social Media Agency will be to support the SpiceUp team in developing brand awareness and engaging with the social media followers (farmers, businesses and general public) by running and managing the social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Website) for the SpiceUp project. The agency will be expected to take the lead in content creation, posting, and engaging on all channels, in both Indonesian and English, which means the agency must have a good command of both languages. It is also expected that the social media agency will assist in collecting beneficiary stories, as well as providing photos and videos for the project. The social media agency will work closely with the SpiceUp team, particularly with the SpiceUp project managers from Verstegen and ICCO Southeast Asia (based in Bali).
Tasks
Content Creation Strategy:
- Proactively build and execute communication strategy through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification in close cooperation with SpiceUp team
- Communication tool with a clear message; storylines, core message supported with (evidence) material, relevant target groups per market,tactics, backgrounds, scripts for potential issues and FAQs
- Posting daily to respective social media channels
- Interactive timeline with the tone of voice and materials appropriate for SpiceUp, tell a contemporary story
- Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications
- Build and run A/B tests and optimize conversion funnels to meet KPIs
Deliverables:
Stories, social media posts, videos, images, infographics, photos and video posted to digital channels
Social media management:
- Social media strategy, design and recognizable image identity, writing social copy, making an editorial calendar and managing community
- Introduction to the market, with a phased approach ensuring that media, influencers, key opinion leaders are reached at the right time. For every target group an appropriate approach
- Create and maintain company social media pages and profiles
- Actively engage with online audiences through social media channels
- Manage SpiceUp website on a weekly basis and continuously providing feedback to improve the design of the website
- Track and analyse analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes
- Social community management: build meaningful connections and encourage community members through dialog and messaging by using a Q&A
- Moderate user-generated content and messages appropriately, based on company and community policies
- Generate, edit, and share content 3-4 times a week (original text, images, video, and HTML)
- Prepare social media packs for flagship events, launches, campaigns
Deliverables:
- Two-fold increase in followers every month
- Monthly social media content calendar are created and executed
- Social media packs prepared for all key events, launches, workshop etc and shared with stakeholders, where appropriate
- Timely responses to messages and comments
- Timely updates and monthly reports on improvements and content plans for SpiceUp website
- Quarterly report on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness of all social media channels
Overall:
- Setting up learnings, steps to take, do’s and don’ts
- Collaborate with other work packages
Travel
Travel will be required. Travel expenses will be covered in accordance with SpiceUp rates.
Minimum qualifications and experience
- 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing platform, social media management and analytics
- Must be based in Indonesia, preferably in Bali.
- Must be able to create content in Indonesian and English
- Proven track record in acquiring users to smartphone (Android) applications across several channels/platforms such as Facebook and Google Playstore
- Proven track record in identifying user needs, developing a brand and communicating convincing messaging to smallholder farmer users
- Experience with graphic design, ability to create designs for digital media purposes in open source graphic design programmes, such as Canva
- Ability to take quality photographs and basic photo editing skills
- Experience in reporting on qualitative and quantitative analytics
- Experience developing compelling content to generate response from audiences online
- Strongly preferred: experience in developing content for agriculture related products/projects
- Data driven and experienced in advanced analytics
- Proven experience in improving conversion funnels
- Experience in SEO optimization
- Strongly preferred: experience working with the development sector in a similar role
Availability
Duration : 6 months, with a possibility for extension
Start date : August 2020
Availability : 40hrs per week (Monday to Friday)
